Urlaub v. Inc. Village of Bellport, 498 F.Supp.2d 614 (E.D.N.Y. 2007): Defeated motion for preliminary injunction brought by a citizen’s peace group alleging that Village’s insurance requirement for a parade permit violated its First Amendment rights.

Milano v. George, 45 A.D.3d 654, 845 N.Y.S.2d 441 (2d Dept. 2007): Plaintiff claimed that the Village of Lynbrook’s negligent placement of a stop sign at a busy intersection contributed to a motor vehicle accident in which he allegedly sustained serious personal injuries, including brain damage and strokes.  The Appellate Division reversed the Supreme Court, Nassau County and awarded summary judgment to the Village of Lynbrook, finding that the placement of stop sign was not a proximate cause of the accident.
